Northern Transmissions

They put everything into it for an album that you can really feel the excitement from. Though it doesn’t always have the most memorable riffs, Wand put enough life into this record to make you want to get behind them.

The first half of this EP is definitely more interesting, no doubt down to the heightened creativity that the band experienced, but right around about Hiss is when it starts to fizzle out, the last three songs being the sheer embodiment of bland.

While this is the shortest release from Wand, it's by far their most consistent. I would say that I can't remember the last time I heard the band playing with this much energy and enthusiasm, and were going for such a progressive sound. But the fact is, they've never sounded this good.
