Being a previous fan of oOoOO, I knew going in to expect nothing. His past musical ventures of genre hopping was either on the line or a tad past it, and while that's nothing to hold against an artist who makes the bold action OF genre hopping in the first place, it can be hold accountable for expectations of their future. Drawn in by the beauty of its cover, Faminine Mystique takes you for a ride through the unknown of the self. Its incredibly developed sound scape and unique production meeting between guitar riffs and samples of forgotten songs, this record offers a home to everyone who is not afraid of raw feelings and self exploration. Like the cigarettes the two artists are sucking on on the cover, 'Faminine Mystique' can be a bit of a drag. The album is intentionally difficult to listen to at times, as multiple beats, rhythms, instruments, vocal affects and styles interlap over one another.
