A trailblazing debut from one of the most unique names in space rock. Honestly, depending on the day, I prefer this over Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space.

Truly, this album was ahead of it's time.

Debut album from Spiritualized is what I expected. It didn't blow me away, but by all means this is a darn good album. I loved Jason's bare-minimum soft yet compelling vocals. This type of singing goes along very well with this fairly ambient space rock album. The album draws influences from the likes of the Velvet Underground and Brian Wilson, and I think it's able to very well hold it's own as a respectable piece of work.
