How I love Janis. I will always have you with me in my heart. This album is wonderful. His last after his death. Favorite song will have to be Cry Baby, A Woman Left Lonely, Move Over, Me And My Bobby McGee, all of them are so good.

One of the most powerful and soul-stirring records to ever be released. Janis Joplin 1971 LP "Pearl" was a rock album triumph that showed the band and Janis Joplin hit the peak of their song/writing and musicianship.

Her second and last album, released posthumously, leans on Paul A. Rothchild's skillful hand, hires a new band and focuses on her extraordinary voice.
Would rock music ever sound so soulful?
