The emotion really does come through in his voice. It's clear how comfortable he was and how much fun he was having performing in front of the crowd. One of the best live albums ever.
Definitely one of the best live albums I've ever heard. I was vaguely familiar with Sam Cooke, but I don't remember hearing much from him besides What A Wonderful World, so I went into this blindly, knowing only a little bit of his historical importance and that many consider him to be one of the best vocalists of all time, and I was pretty much blown away by this.
