Not quite as good as Pop Food but still super fun and enjoyable. There are very few things about this record that I don't enjoy, besides the song It's Alright, which is a bit of a snoozer. I especially love how funky this thing can be while also incorporating some more melancholic vibes as well. I'm real excited to check out more of Jack's stuff in the future!

I've heard great things about this LP, but my own laziness and ignorance stopped me from listening to this until the end of December, yikes.

Either way, Jack Stauber definitely has a distinct approach to songwriting and lo-fi, hypnagogic pop that's pretty mesmerising. Though he is most respected for his YouTube content and personality, Stauber's music is ambitious, colorful and entertaining by itself.

weirdly unique album, was a great and fun listen. i have memories of listening to this album, but this was my first complete listen, can't say i'm disappointed. jack stauber's approach at music is fascinating and makes for some really great music. he's just awesome at what he does and i think he gets the credit he deserves.

When it all comes down to it and you all count it up, this album is no more or less than a redux of the same one catchy trick. Jack Stauber has talent yes, in his flair and fling but ultimately he kind of feels like a magician whose trick reveals himself after he's shown it eleven times. But at least it's quite enjoyable for as long as you don't catch it. His songwriting has good hooks and quirks that elevate it as a weirdly neutral chaotic pop album.

Does it have some pretense? Yeah, sure! ... read more
