I love the sound of La Roux’s debut record. The blanketing synths over this record are GORGEOUS and nostalgic in tone, making me think of the summertime California coast. I also totally forgot about that one song “Bulletproof”, so when it came on, I was taken aback by how long I forgot about it.

Very Solid Album. A bit inconsistent at times but the some songs are truly amazing such as Tigerlily and In for the Kill which saves the Album and hides the inconsistency of this album. La Roux shows us she has a great voice and the production is overall good but nothing amazing. A Solid Debut. A Solid 7

extremelly good album. La Roux must have a strong comeback in the future.I cannot wait.
Highlights: "Tigerlily" , "In For The Kill" , Bulletproof" , "I am Not Your Toy"
one of the most revolutionary albums of the time. la roux came out with bulletproof and it felt like the future had already approached. the rest of the album compliments its centerpiece tastefully, never going to hard with beats, but keeping them all steady and focused.
BEST: In For The Kill, Tigerlily, Quicksand, Bulletproof, Coulorless Colour, I’m Not Your Toy, Armour Love
Once it seemed only a curiosity and after years you can easily describe it as a visionary and with this album she outlined the path to other artists in the coming decade.
