Nothing screams being a Coheed fan more than still having no clue what the hell Claudio is singing about, even after dozens of listens

masterfully crafted post-hardcore, the only issue is that, because i have not read the comics, i feel like i'm just missing out on a LOT. trust me though, this score is not influenced by that. there are a ton of amazing powerful songs here, but my favorite has to be the hidden track, "IRO-Bot", which is just a pretty, acoustic song.

I always feel like I need to pitch this band to people, and even then you're probably gonna be all "ew". Coheed at their best sonically. My favorite band of all time made my favorite album of all time, there are albums that I think are better but it's my personal favorite. It's held back a little bit by the fact I personally believe one needs to know the lore to "fully" enjoy the Amory Wars albums but even then I think Second Stage is a masterclass in writing a fantastic prog emo album.
