I haven't listened to Coheed and Cambria since ages but i remember this song "wake up" and fell in love with it. Father Nico suggested me to listen this song and i p much enjoyed listening. Might check their whole discography.

Fave tracks:
1. Time Consumer
2. Everything Evil
3. Neverender

There are some very good songs on this album, but overall, it's very unpolished. It doesn't age super well and the album tried everything. I would only recommend this if you plan to go through all of their discography. Best track is "Everything Evil".

The lyrics mostly set up the “Amory Wars” narrative pretty well. In terms of the music itself, this is some pretty good prog-punk shit with some really good instrumentation and riffs with some impressively squeaky vocals from Claudio Sanchez. What isn't impressive, however, is the mixing and some of the writing on here. Yes, I know this is their first record and they didn't have a particularly sizable budget, but it's still kind of distracting.
