The Guardian

There’s nothing here that pushes the envelope for pop, or even for the Coral, but there doesn’t always need to be. It’s another lovely, solid effort from one of Britain’s most enduring bands.

They may have done some drastic reshuffling and tried some new things on Move Through the Dawn, but it's a Coral record at its core and it's one of their most satisfying, too.

Northern Transmissions
For this release, The Coral try a bit of everything and end up playing off as more of a retro-revival than something distinct.

This slightly over-polished album glides along serenely without grabbing you by the ears.

‘Move Through The Dawn’ is an album sadly bereft of impact, from its lacklustre cover onwards. Album highpoint ‘Strangers In The Hollow’ suggests the light hasn’t entirely gone out, but it certainly seems to be dimming.
