As bizarre as IRISIRI seems on the surface, there are delightful near-pop song structures that form ornate skeletons for Drewchin to layer synths, samples and other sonic ephemera overtop.

There always appears to be a certain playfulness when it comes to the progression and use of samples. That is not something that suggests this is an easy listening record, but it makes the album more personal and adventurous, and it is its most striking part.
Resident Advisor

IRISIRI is an uncomfortable album, especially compared to the ambient folk of her previous LPs. But the risks taken here make it her most striking full-length.

The impulse to cast off cultural standards dictating how music should sound dominates IRISIRI, which seems most interested in articulating femininity outside the constraints of patriarchal expectations.

Crack Magazine

At times, this record can feel uncomfortable, with its abundance of vocal falsettos and staccato synths, but it is in this discomfort that IRISIRI reveals itself.

Haunting yet beautiful, 'IRISIRI' is a cacophonous album that slowly reveals its intricacies with each additional listen.
