Not as strong as ambient 1 but definitely does different things right. The shorter track lengths makes this much easier to focus on compared to ambient 1. There seems to be a greater selection of instruments used. Not an objective thing, but I feel this album directly evokes more emotion than ambient 1.

Most of Brian Eno's, ambient works make you imagine landscapes, pictures or certain situations. The feeling of this album is that you see the first light of day. It's 6 AM , you sit on a chair on your balcony, there aren't many cars and you enjoy the silence , the weather is moody and cool ,but balmy you see the first antnass of light that reach the buildings, a bevy of doves flying into the light blue sky.

His best LP. A truly beautiful journey through ambient bliss. The focus on piano notes and motifs gives this the edge his previous Airports release was lacking.
