Simply put, the songs feel unfinished, which is a shame because — and here’s the crazy part — they’re all so good. Even without the video clips, Whack is able to express nearly every emotion a woman can experience in a 24-hour period, backed by a myriad of musical styles.

The surreal, audiovisual album from the Philadelphia artist is only 15 minutes long, but it is overflowing with hooks and a powerful sense of imagination.
The 405

A snappy, hilarious, disturbing, damnably catchy, but most importantly, complete showcase for one of the most exciting young musicians to emerge – in any genre – for some time.

Spectrum Culture

This is the rare project that’s truly unmoored from genre.

The Needle Drop
The debut album from Philly hip hop artist Tierra Whack is an endearing set of pop rap and alternative R&B miniatures.
EDIT ---> See how we took this album with a grain of salt and today it is on every major list of the best albums of the decade. <----

Revolutionary, colorful and changing everything i know before mini lp.

Every second of this album is like a great experience.

Black Nails, Cable Guy and Hookers is a wonderful perfect score and I do not belittle the fact that there are one minute track.

Tierra Whack's debut album is really short at just 15 minutes, but she uses that time to make every track full of personality, charm, even all of them are just one minute, this LP is childish, imaginative and silly, and Tierra uses that to her advantage with upbeat pop rap production, sticky choruses and personal storytelling. I loved what she offered here, and it certainly shows a lot of potential, the length makes this thing pretty cohesive too, so even though I'm left wanting more, I'm not ... read more

Wild, Warm, Weird.
Tierra Whack's debut Is pure fun for total weirdos. Creative, funny, charismatic, full of personality and extremely catchy. Visuals are Insane. Without a doubt the most imaginative and creative music videos I've seen in a while, and the cohesion between the tracks both auditive and visualIy Is just mind blowing. I just wish this were longer but I still love the idea of a 15 minute album. It just adds so much to It's replay value. I ... read more
An interesting experience of taste testing several tracks, enough to whet the appetite, but not enough to satisfy it.
Tierra Whack’s Whack World is an infamously short debut album spanning only 15 minutes, yet in those 15 minutes, Whack is able to prove that she is a star in the making.

Whack World is witty, unique, and a versatile venture through different styles and sound. The amount of ground covered on this album is absolutely insane. From Trap to Gospel to Pop to Jazz, the possibilities for Whack are endless.

My only complaint is that I really wish it was longer because the material on this ... read more
