On Neo Yankees' Holiday, Fishmans are clearly in a transition period, refining their sound and almost completely ditching the dub sound that they started off their career with.

So it's my third review of the band, and I constantly talk about the band moving away from the reggae sound, but let me reassure you, it's not bad at all. Neo Yankees' Holiday is interesting for two reasons and two reasons only. 1. It's the first album where you can really feel Fishmans' trademark Neo-Psych/Dub/Shibuya-kei sound really comes into the fold. 2. There is no reason two. Neo Yankees' Holiday cuts back and the experimentation of King Master George, but what saves it from being another completely boring album like Chappie, Don't Cry is that Fishmans sound.
