Busdriver's latest may appear ambitious in scope, but Electricity is on our Side only offers a less prepared version of the enigmatic rapper.
Whilst writing a very passionate review about this album I had a blackout. Because of this I now condemn this "bus driver" to a life full of sleeping on warm pillows and sub-par fish and chip stores. May your chips be flaccid and your sleeps be mildly uncomfortable.
Love the experimentation and wordplay.
Hate the fact that he sounds like he had the flu for 3 weeks when he came in the studio.
This was really cool and had some interesting parts but it was reallt difficult to focus on the music when I listened to it.
This is a great album that didn't feel that long until the last 4 tracks. Other than that, there was extremely solid experimental production throughout. While it isn't super consistent, many tracks don't overstate their welcome so it still flows pretty well. I'm guessing this was probably not the best album to introduce me to BUSDRIVER, but I'm glad it is.
