Played this album for hs & college students in Costa Rica when I was there filming a documentary in 2013, in case Denzel was wondering why sales spiked in San Jose.
Solid project full of bangers.
if you're relatively new to denzel curry this is a pretty interesting way to begin your journey. while not even close to the maniacal burst of energy and insanity that his later releases are, there are relatively great songs on this. songs like n64, parents, dark & violent, and threatz are still excellent today. the album's quality drops after the halfway point, with the long and miserable a day in the life, and the pretty generic denny cascade. regardless, i think this was a very solid ... read more
not as fully fleshed out as denzels other albums but still its solid
This was a pretty good start to an exceptional rapper's career. Personally, I think it needed a bit more charm and confidence from Curry to really call it great. It's still a good album that is not worth missing in Denzel Curry's catalog.
