I was indeed quite flummoxed on first listen of this album. It's a lot to take in, to say the least. This is a really cool prog metal album on the quirkier side, wasn't surprised to find that Max Mobarry of Others by No One is one of the band members (and I love ObnO, so that definitely made me interested in that project from the get-go LOL)
