We're under no illusions here — this music is ridiculous — but we'll be damned if it isn't the most interesting thing out there at the moment.

The Needle Drop

Clear Tamei and Steel Mogu deepen the sound and lore of Iglooghost, though hopefully his next full-length album will do so to a greater extent.

Pitchfork

As the hero’s soundtrack, Clear Tamei is showered in light and delicate electronic sounds that cut through the overwhelming density of Iglooghost’s music.

PopMatters

"Memorable" isn't really a relevant word with this kind of music; you press play, live through it, come out the other end either exhilarated or exhausted.

This review is not a normal one. Clear Tamei and Steel Mogu is sort of a “double EP” if that makes any sense. I’ll be doing Clear Tamei first, writing a small review for that, and then for Steel Mogu, that mini review will be in it’s own page. I’ll be linking the Steel Mogu review in the Clear Tamei one, acting as a part 2, while I will be linking the Clear Tamei Review in the Steel Mogu one, as a part 1. Got it? Onto the review.

those were the sounds of my joy as I realized a glorious creation has rised. a divine being sent here to bind together music with it's teeth of needle and thread and sew a new face of normality. living in a room with glass for walls, freed and allowed to rise. rise into the warm-eyed angels who's calming energy ... read more

This one of Igloo's softer projects, with baby (?) vocal samples, and some woman singing and harmonizing. Don't worry, Igloo is still aggressive as fuck in some moments like a little after the half section of the 7 minute drag that is Shrine Hacker. Because Ghost is more chill than usual on this EP, some moments can be pretty boring. Like bro, we don't two minutes of Utopia by Björk stealing and copying, we want fucking Super Ink Burst 2.0, but not too similar to it.

This was an ... read more
