Rather than set on a singular vision ... their first-full length does quite the opposite - as it turns out, they’re quite the chameleons.
By evolving from their earlier guise and pushing their sound forward before finally committing it to a first record, ‘Black Honey’ avoids any pitfalls its long gestation period could’ve created. Instead, it shows the band off as fresh and exciting as their early selves promised they’d be.
This debut album truly projects the versatility Black Honey have in terms of what they're capable of and only excites us more for what’s still to come.
Fuck knows why I listened to them in reverse order but we move. Again it’s fun, I give this album a slight edge over the other one.

A long time coming, Black Honey lost a little bit of the edge that made them so great a couple years ago. However, this is still a decent indie-pop effort, with bangers scattered amongst some forgettable filler.
Standouts: Midnight, Bad Friends
6.8/10. Very decent.
