EDIT: It is on there now, but this isn't nearly as good as I was hoping :(

The jazz interludes that are littered throughout capture the listener by surprise before the inevitable sonic onslaught that follows them - they do genuinely add another layer to the music and build a hazy atmosphere which is only added to by the band's traditional black metal leanings. Vile Luxury is one of the most unique musical projects I’ve heard this year. The seamless blend of Miles Davis inspired Jazz and hardcore Avant-garde Metal keep you on your toes. Lyrically it isn’t extremely complex, but instrumentally it’s quite the opposite. As I said you have the Jazz moments which pop up here and there in the album. So much going on that I do not know how to handle it all. The conceptual work on Imperial Triumphant's Vile Luxury is a marvel to admire, but the music doesn't seem to match its black, utopian look. It does however do a much better job at balancing the soft, airy moments than Deafheaven can. The blasting metal arrangements accompanied with the odd time signatures, that are even outside the norm for black metal, make for an exciting, thematic performance.
I don't know if its just me but I can barely hear the instrumants and the vocals in here.
Luxury is rich, exciting, and highly entertaining.
