The Ska-Punk band "The Interrupters" frontmanned by the amazing Aimee Allen has come a long way from their debut, introducing cleaner sounds than their fairly raw debut record and a better song writing than their fairly safe sophomore project. Now after seeing them live in concert I can say with 100% affirmation that these songs all hit super hard with raw production, but on this project everything seems way too cleaned and polished for how relatively simple the punk formula is. ... read more


Sure the lyrics and songs are simple, but this album is just such a good time.


Aimee Allen's long journey from a record company's dream of a female version of Mike Ness to her current incarnation as Aimee Interrupter is a story unto itself, but she is a strong, legitimate front-person for a ska-punk band and not many female-identifying persons can make that claim (no sorry, No Doubt does not count, unless you buy your ska records at K-mart). the songs are simple and straight-forward and played with tons of heart, and one imagines quite a bit of liver as well. on a side ... read more
