Most of this album consists of Yungblud’s sometimes obnoxious voice, bland lyrics and messy production. He even tries to imitate a DJ record scratch on the final track... what the fuck? It sounds like Adam Sandler just stubbed his toe.

This album is just way too much fun. The enjoyment I get from listening to this completely overrides any of the cringey immature lyrics.

I feel like YUNGBLUD could become a bit of a cult hit in the UK with this type of music. I appreciate his experimentation in approaching trap music with a sleazy northern English indie rock attitude but the majority of the production is tacky and he never really escapes the cliches of either of the genres hes working with.

There's the occasional witty lyric and the odd boppy sequence here and there but ultimately those are outweighed by the cringey melodies and ideas a lot of the tracks ... read more
