Your Review

Quiet River of Dust Vol. 1 is a mind-blowing and extremely powerful record filled with strong songwriting and production touches that show Parry at the top of his game. A truly effortless collection of songs worth revisiting for years to come.

Under The Radar

Embracing laid back folk traditions, it's a record in no hurry. Seven tracks long, only two of which last less than six minutes, it's music crying out for careful attention. Songs ebb and flow, and then ebb some more, teasing beauty from Parry's quietly rich, complex compositions.

Northern Transmissions

While it’s not the most punchy or direct album, those looking for something more slow and exploratory will have a lot to take in here.

Quiet River of Dust feels like its own celestial event, emitting frequencies both familiar and alien; Eastern philosophy-tinged pagan space folk devoted to gods both old and new.

On his first song-oriented album, the Arcade Fire’s composer-in-residence folds folk music and dissonance into delightful odes to nature’s pleasure and power.

Loud and Quiet

The music almost reaches the point of unconscious self-parody, and no amount of suspension of cynicism in the listener can overcome the fact that ‘Quiet River Of Dust’ is a thoroughly tedious record.

This album helped me ascend to the great bosom of Mother Earth to suckle on her magnificently mountainous teats.

Highly recommended.
Es "dreamy" en algunos aspectos y está bien diseñado en cuanto a experimental-calidad, pero muchas veces se pierde en su propia vorágine de experimentación. Aun así, es un buen álbum.
