Who's this Neil Young guy? No way he's ever going to amount to anything with this decent enough debut album! Guess we were wrong. Every artist has to start somewhere, and Neil Young's self-titled debut displays plenty of potential. He introduced himself to the music world with this, and well the rest is history.

Solid release for a debut, but better things were certainly ahead for this young Canadian man.

A smooth album but not much variation, a solid introduction to the style of Neil young but with two steaming tunes: The loner and the old laughing lady.

Neil Young's self-titled album takes the role to lead to a smooth transition from the Buffalo Springfield days to his solo work, maintaining all the elements that would help him succeed without casualties and that's exactly what his debut does.
