when i heard that conor oberst made an emo album, i immediately knew i’d love it. and ayer listening, i can confirm that i love it. conor’s voice works surprisingly well in this more aggressive style. the lyrics can get political and i love that. this is an amazing album i recommend to any bright eyes fan.
almost every song is great
faves: all but least fave
least fave: survival of the fittest
Conor sounds super comfortable over a more emo punk sound as expected. This is a very solid side project of his that shows a more energetic side of his music but one that honors emo punk in an excellent way. Pretty much all of the qualities I love about Conor is present on this album as well. Greater Omaha is a fucking banger
