On her second album, Scottish pianist and singer Kathryn Joseph continues to excel at both the light and the dark without ever being grey, and it's the constant exchange between pain and beauty that makes this album is a roaring success.

God Is in the TV

This is a confident and mature assertion of the sheer, heart-in-your-mouth, power of nature, and of unrestrained love that threatens at any moment to take you down with it.

Loud and Quiet

The album lays all her wounds bare as she faces down, and eventually casts off, her own despair. Her heart has mended, but the scars are permanent.

interesting, but voice goes on my nerves after two songs, much too orchestral for me.

There are really beautiful tracks thanks to the general composition and some lyrics but her voice trembles constantly and she doesn't hit the notes during intense time.
