It’s a love letter to roadside diners, sitting in a car and driving very far in a very straight line for a very long time; the sort of romanticised rebel spirit that probably never existed, and which we all know from the movies.

The harsh vocals and ripping punk qualities are, for the most part, absent. However, despite the lack of aggression, some of these songs are genuinely thrilling.

This album seems like the better choice for trophy eyes, removing the harsh portions that really didn't do much for me personally, and it's replaced by some really welcome clean vocals and beautiful songs. Things like Friday forever and something bigger than this is just incredible. Nice amount of pop punk in a year that missed the genre.

Three to four months later and I still play this almost daily. Incredible album.
