Laurel has a amazing voice, but for me this album is way too much uptempo. For me she only really shines when she is downtempo and melancholic like on old tracks from her like "Goodbuy" or "Shells" and on this album only "Recover" really shows what she is capable of and touches me. Im sure many dissagreas with my taste, and its for sure all good and catchy popsongs that will apeal to many, but I personally lack the emotions and is quite dissapointed with this album ... read more
Most of the time, when you buy an album, you love love love two, three songs, like 4 more, hate one and the rest kind of grows on you. Know what I mean?

With this one, I loved 9 songs, liked 2 and one was kinda meh. Nuff said.

Oh, and do yourselves a favor and check out this absolute gem:
Gorgeous debut album. The melodies are really gorgeous and there's really no weak track on this. Reminds me a bit of London Grammar and Lana's Ultraviolence but still so different.
Faves: Crave, Adored, Lovesick
the perfect album for when you‘ve forgotten just how intense and awful love can be.

favourites: life worth living, all star, same mistakes, adored, crave, hold tight
Incredible vocals, there is a sonority combined with the guitar that produces an unique kind of song that makes me really, really numb and nostalgic.
