I'd rather hear a new Shins album.
--OK.....I've really come around on this album. I think the beats have begun to forge in my brain, which lead me to listen more to the lyrics.

I've been reluctant to share my opinion on this Broken Bells 'After The Disco' release due to the heavy criticism and less than flattering reception the CD received upon review. However, with a bit of time adding comfortable distance between then and now I am happy to share that I find real enjoyment in this fine, Indie Pop recording. A solid album. With hints of brilliance. However just when you'll be lost, enjoying the music, they'll spoil it for you with something over-produced or a song that just tries too hard.

Alternative pop, with lots of ambition in its spine which is not the bassline but the synths pattern.
Unfortunately it raises more expectations that it can really fulfill.
