This album doesn't get enough credit. Completely out of the left field for John Lydon at the time and PIL had so much guts to even attempt this sound in 1978. Yet, it worked so well and still sounds fantastic to this day. This album was post-rock before post-rock and is a building block for bands like Slint.
Johnny Rotten is very misunderstood. While yes in his early years he came off bit of a douche, he's really matured (for the most part) in his older years and is very passionate about his craft. So even though I respect him & I love the Sex Pistols, Public Image Ltd. is very hit or miss for me. Sadly, this was a miss.
The title track is amazing. Definitely their best song & one of the best post-punk songs I've ever heard. But the rest of the album I could do without.

De firmar un disco como este a poder ir a Eurovisión. El viaje de este grupo es flipante.
First Issue's tracks besides Public Image are all just very repetitive, rambling and extremely thin guitars. It sounds like a monologue for the entire album and it's just not engaging all the wall through.
Part of a series of albums my friend is getting me to listen to, this one is especially British sounding, probably 'cause Johnny Rotten's in the band. Some interesting tracks, very new-wave-y. It was ok, the album felt like it went on and on and on and on though.
