The atmosphere of the album is pretty solid. The finally is nice, but for some reason the great dying sounds like ass on the last few seconds of the song, as if they said “fuck the mix” just overexpose all the instruments,” some pretty cool ideas but proggy stuff kinda ruins it, especially with the multiple phases of several songs that just don’t really blend well for me.


Wow, these guys' soundscape is insanely impressive. Really good vocal performances for sure. The harsh vocals are fine, but the cleans are really good. The Ocean are amazing songwriters, they have good production, and really solid tones all around. Really everything you need in a progressive metal album.

It's clear that the group has a lot of ambition and a lot of technical nuance applied in their music and this album has all of that. For me, it just gets boring and uninteresting because of its abstract scale. It isn't a bad album by any means, but it suffers from being uninteresting and repetitive.
