The Violet Hour is one of the best songs I've heard across all genres. Pure brilliance.

i really wanted to like this...

it's not that i don't like it...i just wish i could like it more than i do. there are so many interesting melodies and ideas in this record but almost none of them come together in any interesting or meaningful way.

the tremolo guitars are yet again excellent. i don't mind the lead singer's voice but i do think it gets slightly tiresome at points. the production is wistful and a little sleepy but it's fine and decent enough.
