It’s ugly and beautiful; one moment subdued and the next blistering.


Not consolidating or scaling back their ambition in the slightest, mewithoutYou continue to be one of indie-rock’s most consistently fascinating voices, and on ‘[Untitled]’ they’re as weird and wonderful as ever.


The Philadelphia band’s seventh album draws from fiction, the history of international warfare, and their own internal rosary of images to create a dense, literary tangle of post-hardcore.

Four tracks In and I was already sucked in, Great vocals, Amazing drums, Good Guitar, Everything is sung so perfectly, It goes so well with the lyrics.

Definitely not the best, But I liked it. Could have been better? Yes, But I was not disappointed at all.

I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.

Wendy & Betsy alone was incredible, Definitely a Fav Track.

So, first of all, I absolutely adore how the vocals are buried in the mix, it is kinda contradictory since the main focus of the band are the lyrics, but I just love it. The instrumentation is really complex at times but also can get really simple, depending on what is the subject matter of the lyrics at the moment. Drive of hardcore mixed with chill rock sound is satisfying.
You don't remain a band for nearly 20 years without extreme agility, and mewithoutYou shows their ability to stay flexible. Looking at their full discography they've traveled to far out distances and then intentionally took new routes back home.
