Dork

Basement have the album they’ve always wanted, one that will take them to the biggest stages of their career so far. But ‘Beside Myself’ does more than that, and arguably stands as one of the defining rock albums of the entire year.

NME

Basement make their case for straight-up rock royalty on their storming fourth full-length, which even includes a nod to Oasis.

Basement isn’t the most original emo band out there. But “Beside Myself” is still a hooky record with plenty of sweet songs.

Their infectious style of grungy emo-alternative rock will forever be one of my favorite but after they got back together, their ... read more

This is the first Basement album I’ve heard, and it’s absolutely amazing. This is probably my favourite album of 2018 (although that may be because I haven’t listened to that much that came out this year). Reason For Breathing has a slightly heavier sound than the rest of the album, but it works really well, and has become my favourite song of the year. The album had me hooked from the start with Disconnect, a great track. I’m definitely gonna check out Basement’s ... read more
