Basement have the album they’ve always wanted, one that will take them to the biggest stages of their career so far. But ‘Beside Myself’ does more than that, and arguably stands as one of the defining rock albums of the entire year.

Basement have always walked a fine line between being great song-writers and being pretty unoriginal. Their highest moment, "colormeinkindness" is a masterpiece, out-of-time (should have been released in the 90's) and their record "I Wish I Could Stay Here" will always be one of my "go-to's" when I'm jamming to some heavy emo.
