Now I'm sure nostalgia is doing *some* of the talking here, but this is where I feel Snow Patrol peaked. Gary's voice was never better than it was on this record, and they stripped away some of the super-anthemic walls of instrumentation present on previous albums, making this one feel more restrained and confident. Their lyrics, which on other albums often make me role my eyes to varying degrees, just seem to work on this one. It all somehow sounds like you've stumbled upon a mystery band ... read more
