Hell yeah, this is a banger!

Powerslave is the 5th studio album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, released in September 1984. It was recorded thoughout February–June earlier that year at Compass Point in Nassau, Bahamas.

It was a critical & commercial success, peaking at No. 2 in the UK Albums Chart and being certified Gold with 100k copies sold.

Time to admit another moment of embarassment... this is my introduction to Iron Maiden's music in general. I've been aware of ... read more

Iron Maiden's second-best album :D

Two years after the release of what is perhaps Iron Maiden's most iconic release from 1982, Number of the Beast, Iron Maiden set out to make an album that was just as good. Little did they know, they would make another highly praised metal album that was just as good, if not as good, as their magnum opus, Number of the Beast.

I didn't know until now that Rime of the Ancient Mariner is a musical on a poem called "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" ... read more

I decided to go with Iron Maiden for no particular reason; my other choices were Metallica or Black Sabbath but ultimately chose Iron Maiden because ... read more

I didn't love this album at first, but the last 2 songs carry mega hard, and relistening to "2 minutes to midnight" make me like it more. I'm not too much of a fan of this style of heavy metal that doesn't feel like it has buildups? I don't really know how to explain it, and so I wasn't vibing with this too much until the title track (fav song) which has a fucking AWESOME solo way better than the rest of this album, it just keeps shredding for like 4 minutes and love it !! Rime builds ... read more

My favourite Iron Maiden project. The riffs are hard-hitting, the songwriting is top notch, every single member of the band are at the peak of their powers. As the icing on the cake we get the 13-minute masterpiece that is Rime of the Ancient Mariner. One of the great classic metal albums
