D.C. rapper Wale, known for his Mixtape About Nothing and more, has dropped his third EP of 2018 and his first release under Warner Bros. Records. It's really a mixed bag of his rapping, which is actually good, and an attempt at sing-songy, pop rap / R&B songs. The highlights are Dummies, which features an upbeat, brass-based beat with a complex drum pattern and Wale rapping with a ton of emotion and inflection. A near perfect EP. This is pure Wale at his finest. Every song is great and I can't say one bad thing bout this project. Really looking forward to Wale's next album.
