Joell Ortiz is one of the best lyricists of this era. Apollo Brown is one of the most consistent beatsmiths of the 2010s. These two heavy-hitters combining forces lead to a solid project from front to back - no filler on Mona Lisa, so no skips are necessary. Joell Ortiz's lyricism is great and Apollo Brown's beats are sharp and match the wordplay perfectly. I like how both the user and critic score are the same as what I was going to give it. I can't be wrong, right?
Joell Ortiz brings some phenomenal and introspective lyrics and flows and perfectly blends them with Apollo Brown's amazing production. Apollo Brown's production here is great. There is not a single weak instrumental here. The worst one here is Cocaine Fingertips though that instrumental is still decent. Instrumentals like Decisions, My Block, Come Back Home, and Reflection show why Apollo Brown is one of the best producers of all time.
