she has written some exceptionally powerful songs that are not only great, but personally very important to me. I really like her and want this to be great. but if it turns out to be St. Vincent Van Springsteen, that will not be a good thing.

Like John, I'm kinda feel mixxed. While I understand the need to change, here nothing is extremely bold. But Sharon is mostly praised for her work as a songwriter and here it could be interesting. Based on seventeen and comeback kid, this feels like a reflection of her past, how it weights her present and how she will deal with future (which makes sense with "remind me tomorrow" title). I don't know what is the place for Jupiter 4 but I'm not fearing the general songwriting.

John, I would encourage you to read up on her process with creating this album. She didn’t go mainstream, she just took a break from guitar to learn how to play the synth and decided to incorporate that in to a new sound. A perhaps more “pop” forward sound, in comparison to her precious works, but I assure you the album is still a very true SVE album full of beautiful and sad songs. A choice she made solely on her on for herself to experiment as musicians often do, not to appeal to the masses.

based only on the single "Seventeen", this does not bode well. another indie artist gone full mainstream. I simply can't believe this is the same person who wrote "Your Love is Killing Me" and "Every Time the Sun Comes Up". what a shame.
