I'm sure that there are plenty of people looking to get into metal and are put off by metal screaming. If that's the case then Alcest's influential debut album may just be for you! It's generally considered to be the album to create the 'Blackgaze' sub-genre and one hell of an album for one hell of a genre. Lush and calming with more emphasize on calmer vocals than want the band will go on to do but I appreciated a different sound and style from the band.
