Too long and repetitive, but Tower of Glass is a great song

An ok sound, if over familiar, but damn if the song writing isn’t formulaic as all hell.

Genre: Big n' Bland

Un wave bastante noventero e inovador a mi parecer, disfruto muchísimo este disco con esos detalles de depeche mode y synthwave agresivos y melódicos

A hanging and electrical alternative rock. Melodies like bops from childhood. A interesting proposal from a veteran band

Okay first off........."The Island" is probably the greatest song Ladytron has ever made in their entire career. UNFORTUNATELY the rest of the album is just downhill from there. What a shame because I was looking forward to this album, I was hoping they'd make some great new music, maybe with an interesting new style............nope. They just baited me with "The Island". The Island is so different from anything else they've ever written or produced. It sounds like ... read more

Going to be one of the most forgettable albums of the year. It’s not bad really but it is so cliche that it leaves so much to be desired

Ladytron return after a long studio silence with their darkest and most atmospheric album to date. It’s filled with surreal, apocalyptic lyrics and the occasional branch out into Industrial. But this album could have easily been shorter and trimmed down, when it’s bad, its genuinely boring and repetitive. But after all of this time, this could have been a lot worse.

Give A Listen To: “Until The Fire”, “The Island”, “Paper Highways”, ... read more

This album is both too bland and too long

Vale, no son los mismos, pero es normal: han pasado muchos años desde su primer disco. Dicho esto, ¡que bien que hayan vuelto!
Lo mejor:
The Island
Tower of Glass
Animals (Vince Clarke remix)
Paper Highways

Eu gosto muito do electropop de Ladytron, mas todas as músicas pareceram iguais demais. Talvez dando outra chance a nota melhore, ou não.

It's if the new MGMT record and Chvrches made an album.

It has a cool, retro feel to it and the production is really good, but it's extremely formulaic to the point where it gets tiring halfway through.

Fav Tracks: The Island, Tower of Glass, Until the Fire, Deadzone, Horrorscope, You've Changed

Least Fav Tracks: Run, Tomorrow is Another Day

A dark, apocalyptic and gorgeous album. Ladytron further delve into their retro electronica sounds to build so far this years most haunting record. The 80s vibe in undeniable, but feels refreshing. The soundscapes of this album also feel incredibly detailed and the production is top notch. One major criticism
of this album I do have however is that is does lack a sense of ambition. Though that point is ultimately detrimental to the overall listen, it is still incredibly worthwhile.

Honestly much more than I was expecting . Some 80s coke fueled electronica style sounds, which kind of reminds me of my mom. Been thinking a lot about Gen Xer music recently... and this is exactly that.

Following the heavily underrated, ethereal "Gravity The Seducer" took Ladytron 8 years, and the new self-titled album acts as a reminder of how great this band has been over the course of almost 2 decades now. This album's strongest attribute is its consistency, as all these 13 songs serve a purpose here. However, just like all of their previous albums this album demands multiple listens before it comes to life. Ladytron's first 6 songs feel like a very strong summation of their back ... read more

Every single track is very distinct from each other in duration, structure, soundscape, tempo and climate. However, Ladytron doesn't feel like a whole, it's more of a compilation but still, this album is a great comeback after a long hiatus.
