the balance struck between Sandy Denny's vocals and Jerry Donahue's Telecaster creates a call and response structure to the songs that is unique due to the pure tones created by the artists. the songs written and sung by Denny alone are some of her best, and the only minor drawbacks to the album are the two covers, and Trevor Lucas's sub-standard vocals. Fotheringay proved to be one and done, but they left a significant artifact to mark their time.
