Metal band blends elements of folk and goth to create a dark, haunting album that's as gorgeous as it is ugly.
The pacing issues people seem to have with this record didn’t really start hitting me until about halfway into the third track. If it takes that long for me to briefly stop feeling enthralled, then what does that tell you about the quality of the material?
Each track on this album has moments of pure brilliance but they often feel dragged on far too long so the record make its to an hour long and it kinda feels forced. It is a solid atmospheric black metal record which does stand on its own but I wish the tracks were shortened with the filler removed and it makes the album feel there is 1/3 of amazing stuff, 1/3 of good stuff and 1/3 which i feel could just be gone.
