Ichiko Aoba has become one of the most important artists for me over the last few months. Many times I returned to her album 0, which after a few listenings became my favourite album of all time. Ichiko has an amazing voice which is very calming and full of emotion. The minimalist style of her music perfectly matches her voice and creates a calm and blissful atmosphere. 月の丘 may be the most beautiful guitar work in recent memory, it seriously blows me away. The rest of the album is blissful and charming just as all her work is, though I do think she is stronger records under her belt at this point.

Standout: 月の丘
Favs: 妖精の手招き, みなしごの雨, 海辺の葬列, 水辺の妖精
Least fav: テリフリアメ
There is a sort of transcendent quality with Japanese folk, particularly with the work of Ichiko Aoba, this is stunning.
Sleep music is alive and well!!
Beautiful, I'm mad I didn't hear this in 2018.
