"Be Content" is one of these releases you just HAVE to read what the critics are saying in order to understand the entire thing. Every single one, from "Dork" to "Paste", say the exact same thing: "ooooohhh, they debut ok, pls like gen abc or music ded". However, every single track is just as forgettable as this entire hype will be in some, and I mean it, DAYS.
What is there to remember? Tell me two tracks you'll bother returning to after listening to ... read more

This relatively new indie rock outfit has released an energetic and entertaining listen, but I ultimately left the album with not a lot of memorable moments or outstanding hooks. The heavily noisy guitar hits have a Queens of the Stone Age aesthetic to them. However, the guitar riffs are fairly unoriginal throughout with uninspiring lyrics. Indoor Pets manage to prove their capabilities as a relative newcomer to the indie pop rock scene with their debut LP Be Content. They hit hard early on with more rock driven songs like Hi and Thick, layback with calmer songs in the middle like Couch, and mix it up in the last half. On albums like this, I tend to find myself enjoying the faster paced songs more, as it shows the bands' musical talents, and stays away from the cheesy lyricism that comes with slower/ down tempo songs. With Be ... read more
