HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Today I’m going through one of my favorite bands that I’m very very thankful for!

Creedence Clearwater Revival’s debut is raw and unrelenting, and it shows a level of talent in the blues rock of yore that has never been seen before. There’s a lot here to unpack: the expanded versatility of the members, the wild production choices, the amazing lead vocals. It all comes together to create something new on the scene.

Creedence Clearwater Revival's debut album will (likely) not replace albums like Cosmo's Factory or Green River, but as a first release it's a great one. The jam atmosphere was already in the band from the beginning causing a pretty addicting sound that's made better by the songs themselves. The originals are pretty good from the fast paced "The Working Man" to the more blues based "Gloomy". The songwriting isn't as strong as it would be in the next album, however that ... read more
