For now, Piracy Funds Terrorism, Vol. 1 takes that burden off of Arular: Diplo has actualized our hopes for M.I.A. qua world pop star, and we didn't even have to leave him cookies.
Definitely worth a listen. The quality isn't the best, but it gives the mashups that nostalgic vibe any real mixtape should have.

I can see how this mixtape would’ve created a lot of buzz around M.I.A. Before she released her debut album Arular.
But when looking at Arular and this mix side by side years later, I would say a majority of the versions of tracks on Arular are way better than the versions on this tape. Diplo for the most part just replaced the instrumentals with obvious samples.
