Naysayers, buzz off, this album rocks. Harlem reemerges different than they left us—look at my shocked face as I reflect on how different we all were 9 years ago—a quiet reminder that growth comes in infinite shapes and sizes.
I hate to give low scores, I really do. I want to like this, but the magic just seems to be gone. Its understandable that after such a long break between albums (and from being a band), Harlem didn't want to make another album that sounded exactly like their previous stuff. Instead they've just ended up sounding like a million other bands out there right now. The energy and spontaneous sound of the totally excellent "Hippies" album is gone, and so are the top notch songs.
