The Scientist is one of the few songs from my childhood that still hits like a brick
The music is very well made on a technical level, but the writing leaves songs feeling extremely hallow, and the songs are often very predictable and unrewarding. Even at the highest moments, this album feels to some degree, really unapologetically boring
Have you ever thought why we hate Coldplay? A lot of people despise the band… even though they have made some amazing music. Do you think Chris Martin knew what he was implying when he sang “I came here with a load and it feels so much lighter now I’ve met you”. I mean, he never specified which kinda load, so you can’t blame me for being suspicious.
