☆☆ ~ Regular album with an uninteresting, weak composition. I wasn't feel fully connected listening to it.
I love when folk music becomes ambient, Ghost Forests is such a release. Lattimore and Baird working together to craft songs of simple beauty through complex compositions, the vocals don't require analysis so much as they become another instrument floating along as every track unfolds. Fair Annie (not being an original) is the only track the sounds somewhat out of place. And excluding the short Blue Burning the songs are of medium length; however, at thirty-six minutes, they pass by quickly. ... read more
