I know this might be edgy to some, but that has to be one of my favorite parts in any song ever. It's funny how I listened to this album at 13 because I thought it was edgy. Now I give this a spin once in a full moon for the suprisingly emotional layers buried under all that edgy marketing.
Edit: its so fun watching the ratings go up a couple points after melon reviews it 😂

Easily one of the greatest and iconic metal albums of all time, a true cult classic that has stood the test of time.

The best SOAD album, and certainly an album that is nothing like I have heard before. It is bizarre how crazy and untamed this album it. It captures this insane energy from Serj and it contains some riffs that are nothing to laugh at. Great themes and instrumentals all throughout. Hopefully I can come back some day and make a full review
Felt like revisiting it since it got reviewed by the melon.
No lack of relevant subjects being explored in this metal release, I especially appreciate the way in which they are presented in Serj's delivery, it comes across as wonky/extravagant, because it's not as self-serious as other albums in the same thematic vein, it lets the message speak for itself from the lyrics sheet. It keeps it from coming across as preachy.
