An aggressive as hell, insane, and incredibly infectious metal classic, there is so much to love about the album.
The guitar work is one of the most defining parts of the album. It's the first thing that greets you in the amazing opener "Prison Song", and doesn't stop giving and giving on every track. There are some incredibly brutal onslaughts of guitars such as on "Deer Dance", but even in its calmer moments, such as the verses of "ATWA", it's incredibly ... read more
Edit: its so fun watching the ratings go up a couple points after melon reviews it 😂

Easily one of the greatest and iconic metal albums of all time, a true cult classic that has stood the test of time.

Serj Tanikan and the bois really created something special with this record. Not only do you have some of the most technically impressive guitar work to ever breach mainstream rock music, but also you have this crazy variety of moods and atmospheres that are presented to you over the course ... read more

Hopefully I can come back some day and make a full review

I reviewed this album on the first day I joined this website. It's pretty much the first thing I think of when someone says the word "metal", or "music" in general, for that matter. I discovered Toxicity at a very important point in my life; I was a preteen, away from home, and wasn't into metal at all. I was listening to artists like Twenty One Pilots, Panic! At The Disco, and Fall Out Boy (and all their worst albums at that). The only good ... read more
